The Samsung Galaxy J8 has an overall score of 76.7, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Moto G7 Plus's 76.1 overall score. Both of these phones work with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System). Samsung Galaxy J8's design is a little bit thinner but just a bit heavier than the Motorola Moto G7 Plus, and both were released only a few months apart.

Samsung Galaxy J8 and Motorola Moto G7 Plus feature similar processing units, they have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit. Moto G7 Plus counts with a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2270px, a greater screen pixels density and a quite larger screen.

The Moto G7 Plus takes a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy J8, and although they both have a F1.7 aperture and the same resolution back facing camera, the Moto G7 Plus also has a bigger sensor which gives a better image and video quality and a way better 3840x2160 video definition. The Motorola Moto G7 Plus counts with just a bit more memory for applications and games than Galaxy J8, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Motorola Moto G7 Plus also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 512 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 has a little better battery performance than Motorola Moto G7 Plus, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity.
