Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the Moto G7 Power, having a general score of 78.7 against 72.6. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the older 8.0 Oreo version and Moto G7 Power has Android 9.0 Pie. Despite of the fact that Huawei Mate 9 Pro is incredibly older than Moto G7 Power, it's construction is lighter and somewhat thinner.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a more vivid screen than Motorola Moto G7 Power, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater screen density and a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a slightly better storage for apps and games than Moto G7 Power, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit superior processing unit than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Moto G7 Power counts with greater battery life than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Moto G7 Power, although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low-light images, they both have a camera with a 12 megapixels, the same video frame rate, a 0.34 inches sensor and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola Moto G7 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto G7 Power. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Motorola Moto G7 Power, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your budget.
