Motorola Moto G8 Power is slightly better than Moto G7 Power, getting a general score of 76 against 72.6. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Moto G8 Power has 10 version while Moto G7 Power has Android 9.0 Pie. The Motorola Moto G8 Power is a newer and just a bit lighter phone than Moto G7 Power, although it's a bit thicker.

Moto G8 Power has a slightly better display than Moto G7 Power, because it has a greater count of pixels per inch in the screen, a quite bigger screen and a much higher 1080 x 2300 resolution. Motorola Moto G8 Power features a greater storage for games and applications than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 512 GB, the Motorola Moto G8 Power also has 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Moto G8 Power counts with a bit superior CPU than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Moto G8 Power also has more RAM. Motorola Moto G8 Power and Motorola Moto G7 Power both count with extremely similar battery performance. The Moto G8 Power counts with just a bit better camera than Motorola Moto G7 Power, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Moto G8 Power also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light captures, a back camera with a lot higher 16 mega-pixels resolution and a bigger sensor shooting better quality videos and pictures.

Although Moto G8 Power is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G7 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G7 Power. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Moto G8 Power, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto G7 Power, giving up a couple features and specs.
