The Moto G9 Play has a general score of 76.7, which is slightly better than the Moto G7 Power's 72.6 overall score. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Moto G9 Play has the previous 10 version and Moto G7 Power has Android 9.0 Pie. The Moto G9 Play body is newer and a bit thinner than the Moto G7 Power's, but it is just a little bit heavier.
Moto G9 Play features a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto G7 Power, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Moto G9 Play also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Moto G7 Power counts with just a bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a quite smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch of screen.
Motorola Moto G9 Play features a much better camera than Motorola Moto G7 Power, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution, a lot bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, better 60 frames per second video frame rate and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photos and video.
The Moto G9 Play has a greater memory for games and applications than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 512 GB, the Moto G9 Play also has 32 GB more internal storage capacity. The Moto G7 Power and the Moto G9 Play both have quite similar battery durations.
