Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a little bit better than the Motorola Moto G7 Power, with a 76.3 score against 72.6. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a thinner and noticeably lighter cellphone than Motorola Moto G7 Power. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Alpha has the older 4.4.4 version while Motorola Moto G7 Power has Android 9.0 Pie.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a sharper display than Moto G7 Power, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit lower 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, it also counts with a quite better display pixel density. The Moto G7 Power counts with a very superior storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Moto G7 Power also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 512 GB.

Galaxy Alpha features a bit faster CPU than Moto G7 Power, because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster) and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Motorola Moto G7 Power counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.

The Galaxy Alpha's camera is very similar to the Moto G7 Power one, and although the Galaxy Alpha has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting images in poorly lited situations, they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video quality and a camera in the back with a 12 megapixels.

Although Galaxy Alpha is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Moto G7 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Moto G7 Power. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Alpha, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto G7 Power, giving up some specs and features.
