Comparison review
The Motorola edge has a general score of 89.6, which is better than Moto G7's overall score of 75.2. Although Motorola edge is newer than the Moto G7, it is somewhat thicker and a little heavier. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but the Motorola edge has an older 10 version while Moto G7 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Motorola edge counts with just a bit better performance than Motorola Moto G7, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Motorola edge also has a higher amount of RAM. Motorola edge features a display that's just as good as the Moto G7 one, because although the Motorola edge has a bit inferior pixel number in each inch of display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a little larger screen.
Motorola edge counts with a lot bigger storage for apps and games than Motorola Moto G7, because it has a SD memory slot that supports up to 1000 GB and 192 GB more internal memory capacity. The Motorola edge features a much better battery performance than Moto G7, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
Motorola edge captures much better pictures and videos than Moto G7, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a same size diafragm aperture, the Motorola edge also has a camera in the back with a way better 64 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Motorola edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G7. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Motorola edge, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto G7, letting go some features and specifications.
