The Google Pixel 3a XL has an overall score of 78.9, which is slightly better than the Moto G8 Plus's 77.6 general score. The Google Pixel 3a XL construction is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than the Moto G8 Plus, even when both of them were released only a couple of months apart. Google Pixel 3a XL and Motorola Moto G8 Plus count with really similar CPUs, both have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores.

The Moto G8 Plus counts with a much better memory for apps and games than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Moto G8 Plus also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Moto G8 Plus features a bit superior battery duration than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
