Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, getting a global score of 79.3 against 77.6. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is noticeably older than the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, it's construction is just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a better display than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 2560 x 1440px resolution and a better count of pixels per display inch.
Moto G8 Plus features a much greater storage for games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Moto G8 Plus also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. Motorola Moto G8 Plus has a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Motorola Moto G8 Plus also has a greater number of cores (although slower).
The Motorola Moto G8 Plus counts with better battery life than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 33 percent greater battery capacity. Motorola Moto G8 Plus features a much better camera than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Motorola Moto G8 Plus also has a much larger back-facing camera sensor, a bigger aperture to take better low light images and video and a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels.
