The Samsung Galaxy S5 is just a bit better than Moto G8 Plus, getting a general score of 80.8 against 77.6. Although the Samsung Galaxy S5 is noticeably older than Moto G8 Plus, it's design is way lighter and somewhat thinner. Galaxy S5 counts with a much better display than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better display density.
Moto G8 Plus features a much bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a bit superior CPU than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a graphics processing unit.
The Moto G8 Plus takes much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Moto G8 Plus also has a way larger camera sensor providing a much better image quality, a back camera with way more mega-pixels and a much larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light images and video.
Moto G8 Plus has a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
