The Samsung Galaxy A40 has a general score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the Moto G8 Power Lite's 74.3 global score. These phones use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy A40 has older 11 version while Moto G8 Power Lite has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy A40 construction is somewhat thinner and extremely lighter than Moto G8 Power Lite, despite of the fact that it was released only 13 months before.

Samsung Galaxy A40 features a sharper display than Moto G8 Power Lite, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better pixel density and a lot higher 1080 x 2340 resolution. The Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite features a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy A40 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Moto G8 Power Lite, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same video resolution and a 16 mega-pixels back-facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos.
