The Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is much better than Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite's global score of 74.3. The Xperia 1 III is a newer phone, and it's also just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner than the Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite. These devices include Android OS, but the Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The Sony Xperia 1 III has a much more vibrant display than Moto G8 Power Lite, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a much higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a way greater screen pixel density. The Xperia 1 III has a much better storage for apps and games than Moto G8 Power Lite, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity.

Sony Xperia 1 III features a little better performance than Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has 8 GB more RAM. Xperia 1 III counts with a much better camera than Moto G8 Power Lite, because although it has a back camera with a way lower 12 mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 video quality and a bigger camera aperture for better low-light photography and videos.

So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1 III, else you can save some dollars and buy the Moto G8 Power Lite, letting go some features and specifications.
