Sony Xperia Z5 has a general score of 77.6, which is slightly better than Moto G8 Power Lite's 74.3 overall score. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia Z5 has older 5.1 version while Moto G8 Power Lite has Android 9.0 Pie version. Although the Sony Xperia Z5 is way older than Moto G8 Power Lite, it's design is noticeably lighter and thinner.

Sony Xperia Z5 has a little better processing power than Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Xperia Z5 counts with a much more vibrant display than Moto G8 Power Lite, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a way better display density and a higher 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

The Moto G8 Power Lite counts with a very superior storage for applications and games than Xperia Z5, because it has more internal storage and an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. The Xperia Z5 takes better photos and videos than Moto G8 Power Lite, because it has a larger aperture to capture better low-light photography, a back camera with a much higher 23 mega-pixels resolution and a lot better video quality.

The Moto G8 Power Lite features a very superior battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2900mAh.

Although Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs more money than Moto G8 Power Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto G8 Power Lite. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Moto G8 Power Lite, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
