The Huawei Mate 20 has a global score of 79.5, which is a bit better than Moto G8 Power's 76 overall score. The Huawei Mate 20 construction is just a little lighter and thinner than Moto G8 Power, despite of the fact that it was released around a year before. These phones come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Moto G8 Power has Android 10, providing you some nice extra features and performance improvements.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a little better performance than Moto G8 Power. Both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. The Huawei Mate 20 has a little sharper display than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a little bit lower 1080 x 2244 resolution and a just a bit less pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a quite bigger display.
The Moto G8 Power has a bigger memory to store more games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. The Moto G8 Power features superior battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.
The Huawei Mate 20's camera is just as good as the Moto G8 Power one, because although the Huawei Mate 20 has a worse video quality, a tinier aperture and a much worse resolution back camera, it also counts with a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G8 Power, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto G8 Power. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Moto G8 Power, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
