Xperia XA2 Plus has a global score of 78.6, which is slightly better than the Moto G8 Power's 76 score. These phones use Android operating system, but Xperia XA2 Plus has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and Moto G8 Power has Android 10 version, so it provides a couple additional features and improved performance. Xperia XA2 Plus's construction has the same thickness than Moto G8 Power, but it is a little heavier.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a little faster processor than Moto G8 Power, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a bit sharper display than Motorola Moto G8 Power, because although it has a little worse 1080 x 2160 resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better number of pixels per inch of screen.

The Xperia XA2 Plus shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for capturing photographs and video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a bigger camera sensor and a lot better 23 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera.

The Moto G8 Power has slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Moto G8 Power also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB. Moto G8 Power features a very superior battery life than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3580mAh.
