Comparison review

The Xperia XZ2 Compact has an overall score of 79, which is just a bit better than Moto G8 Power's 76 score. These phones use Android OS, but Xperia XZ2 Compact has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Moto G8 Power has Android 10, so it provides the user some nice extra features and performance optimizations. The Xperia XZ2 Compact is a notably older and a lot thicker cellphone than the Moto G8 Power, but Sony was able to make it somewhat lighter anyway.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit more powerful CPU than Motorola Moto G8 Power. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit. The Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a sharper screen than Motorola Moto G8 Power, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 2160 resolution and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display.

Xperia XZ2 Compact shoots clearer photographs and videos than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting pictures or videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a higher 19 mega-pixels resolution back camera, faster video frame rate and a larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Moto G8 Power features just a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Moto G8 Power also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB. Moto G8 Power has a much longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 5000mAh battery size instead of 2870mAh.
