Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a global score of 76.6, which is a bit better than the Moto G8 Power's 76 overall score. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 design is a little bit thinner but a little bit heavier than the Moto G8 Power, and both were released with only a few months difference. These phones work with the same Android 10 OS (operating system).
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a display that is very similar to the screen in Motorola Moto G8 Power, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit worse screen pixel density, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a quite larger screen. The Moto G8 Power has a quite bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Moto G8 Power also has an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's processor is very similar to the Moto G8 Power one, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a slightly better camera than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for capturing images and videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a camera with a much better resolution and a much larger back camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a battery performance that is very similar to Moto G8 Power's battery life, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a 5020mAh battery size against 5000mAh.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs more than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Moto G8 Power. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Motorola Moto G8 Power, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
