Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 is a bit better than Motorola Moto G8, getting a global score of 79.5 against 74.4. The Huawei Mate 20 design is a little bit thinner and a bit lighter than the Motorola Moto G8, although it was released about a year before. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Moto G8 has Android 10, so it gives you a couple additional features and a performance increase.
Huawei Mate 20 features a bit better processor than Motorola Moto G8. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount. Huawei Mate 20 features a way better display than Moto G8, because it has a way higher 1080 x 2244 resolution, a little bigger screen and a higher display density. Moto G8 features a better memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 20 and Moto G8 feature similar batteries duration. The Huawei Mate 20 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Motorola Moto G8, although it has a worse (4K) video resolution, a back facing camera with a way lower 12 mega-pixels resolution and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures and/or video in poorly lited environments.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Motorola Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Moto G8. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Motorola Moto G8, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
