Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a score of 82.9, which is better than the Motorola Moto G8's 74.4 general score. Huawei Mate 20 Pro is an older and a little heavier phone than the Motorola Moto G8, but Huawei managed to build it a little bit thinner anyway. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much sharper screen than Moto G8, and although they both have a same size display, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a way higher 1440 x 3120 resolution and a lot greater display density.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto G8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM. Huawei Mate 20 Pro takes better photos and videos than Moto G8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a back camera with a much higher resolution.
The Motorola Moto G8 features a bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Huawei Mate 20 Pro features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto G8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Motorola Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto G8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Moto G8, letting go some specifications.
