Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than Motorola Moto G8, getting a general score of 78.7 against 74.4. Even though the Huawei Mate 9 Pro is notably older than the Motorola Moto G8, it's construction is lighter and somewhat thinner. Both of these phones include Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Motorola Moto G8 has Android 10 version, providing the user some nice extra features.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a way better screen than Moto G8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1440 x 2560px resolution and a way higher display density. The Motorola Moto G8 has a quite bigger memory to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit superior CPU than Moto G8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's battery duration is just as good as the Motorola Moto G8 one. Motorola Moto G8 takes a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Motorola Moto G8 also has a much larger aperture and a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto G8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Moto G8, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
