The Huawei Mate X is a lot better than the Moto G8, with an 89.4 score against 74.4. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto G8 has Android 10 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and performance improvements. Huawei Mate X is a heavier and thicker cellphone than the Moto G8.
Huawei Mate X features a little better hardware performance than Moto G8, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate X also has 4 GB more RAM. Huawei Mate X counts with a more vivid screen than Motorola Moto G8, because it has a lot better display pixel density, a much better resolution of 2200 x 2480 and a bigger display.
Huawei Mate X has much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 448 GB more internal memory capacity. Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Moto G8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Moto G8, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
