Huawei P20 Pro has a general score of 81.4, which is slightly better than the Moto G8's 74.4 score. Huawei P20 Pro is an older phone than Moto G8, but Huawei managed to build it just a little lighter and thinner anyway. Both devices in this review include the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding OS features.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a bit faster processor than Moto G8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei P20 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. The Huawei P20 Pro has a more vivid screen than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixels number per inch of screen and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2240.
The Huawei P20 Pro shoots much better photos and videos than Moto G8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a way higher 40 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
The Motorola Moto G8 counts with a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Huawei P20 Pro features a battery lifetime that is very similar to the Motorola Moto G8 one.
The Huawei P20 Pro costs a lot more money than the Moto G8, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
