The Huawei P30 Lite has a score of 77, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto G8's general score of 74.4. The Huawei P30 Lite is an older device than Motorola Moto G8, but it's somewhat lighter and thinner anyway. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P30 Lite has 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Moto G8 has Android 10 version, so it gives you lots of additional features and improved performance.
Huawei P30 Lite has a much better looking display than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2312 and a lot better pixel density. The Huawei P30 Lite has a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Motorola Moto G8, and although they both have a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Huawei P30 Lite also has 64 GB more internal storage capacity.
Huawei P30 Lite counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Moto G8. Both have the same RAM memory amount and 8 CPU cores. The Motorola Moto G8 counts with just a bit better camera than Huawei P30 Lite, because although it has a much less mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot better (4K) video resolution and a bigger aperture.
Motorola Moto G8 features improved battery lifetime than Huawei P30 Lite, because it has a 20 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto G8. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei P30 Lite, else you can save some dollars and get the Motorola Moto G8, resigning a couple specs and features.
