Microsoft Surface Duo is just a bit better than the Moto G8, with a 78.8 score against 74.4. The Microsoft Surface Duo construction is way thinner but noticeably heavier than the Moto G8, and both of them were released only 6 months apart. Both devices in this comparison review include the same Android 10 OS, so both of them should provide all the same operating system features.

Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a bit superior processing unit than Moto G8, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Duo has a brighter screen than Motorola Moto G8, because it has a bigger screen, a higher count of pixels per inch of screen and a way higher resolution of 1800 x 2700.

The Motorola Moto G8 counts with a bigger storage to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Moto G8 features a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Moto G8 also counts with a camera with a much higher 16 megapixels resolution and a bigger camera aperture to capture better captures and video in low light environments.
