Comparison review
Motorola Edge 20 has a general score of 86.1, which is better than the Moto G8's 74.4 global score. The Motorola Edge 20 is a newer cellphone, and it's also lighter and thinner than Moto G8. Both phones in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Edge 20 has newer 11 version and Moto G8 has Android 10, providing lots of additional features and enhanced performance.
Motorola Edge 20 features a sharper display than Motorola Moto G8, because it has a better pixel quantity per inch of display, a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a bit bigger display. The Motorola Moto G8 counts with a quite bigger memory for apps and games than Motorola Edge 20, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB.
The Motorola Edge 20 counts with just a little better performance than Motorola Moto G8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Motorola Edge 20 also has a higher amount of RAM. Motorola Edge 20 has a much better camera than Moto G8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light images and video, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Edge 20 also counts with a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
Motorola Edge 20 and Moto G8 have very similar battery performance.
