Motorola Edge (2022) has an overall score of 84.7, which is better than Moto G8's global score of 74.4. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Edge (2022) has a newer 12 version and Moto G8 has Android 10 version, giving a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. The Motorola Edge (2022) is a notably newer phone, and it's also just a bit thinner and just a bit lighter than Moto G8.
The Motorola Edge (2022) features a little faster CPU than Moto G8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Motorola Edge (2022) also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Motorola Edge (2022) has a better looking screen than Motorola Moto G8, because it has a quite larger screen, a way higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a higher number of pixels per display inch.
Motorola Edge (2022) has a better camera than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same video definition, the Motorola Edge (2022) also counts with a back camera with a much higher 50 megapixels resolution and better video frame rate.
