Motorola Edge (2024) is slightly better than the Moto G8, getting a score of 78.5 against 74.4. Motorola Edge (2024) is a noticeably newer cellphone, and it's also just a little thinner and just a little lighter than the Moto G8. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Motorola Edge (2024) has 14 version while Moto G8 has Android 10.
The Motorola Edge (2024) has a way better looking display than Moto G8, because it has a way better resolution of 1080 x 2400, a little larger screen and a higher pixel density. The Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage.
Moto G8 counts with a much more powerful processor than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Motorola Edge (2024) counts with longer battery life than Moto G8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a little bit better camera than Moto G8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low light photography, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Motorola Edge (2024) also counts with a back facing camera with a way higher 50 megapixels resolution.
Although Motorola Edge (2024) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto G8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Motorola Edge (2024), but if you don't you can save some money and get the Motorola Moto G8, giving up a couple features and specifications.
