The Motorola Moto Z3 Play is slightly better than the Moto G8, getting a 76.3 score against 74.4. Motorola Moto Z3 Play's design is much thinner and lighter than Moto G8, despite of the fact that it was released around a year before. The Moto G8 features a bit faster processor than Moto Z3 Play. They have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount.
Moto Z3 Play features a more vivid display than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher 1080 x 2160px resolution and more pixels per screen inch. The Moto G8 captures just a bit better photos and videos than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have the same aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Moto G8 also has a back facing camera with a lot better resolution.
Moto Z3 Play features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Moto G8, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Moto Z3 Play also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Moto G8 counts with better battery lifetime than Moto Z3 Play, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola Moto G8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Moto Z3 Play, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto G8, giving up some specs and features.
