Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Alpha has an overall score of 76.3, which is just a bit better than Moto G8's 74.4 overall score. Samsung Galaxy Alpha's design is incredibly thinner and noticeably lighter than Moto G8. These phones have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a more recent 4.4.4 version and Moto G8 has Android 10 version, providing you some extra features and improved performance.

Galaxy Alpha features just a little better performance than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Alpha features a more vivid screen than Moto G8, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1280 x 720, it also counts with a little better screen density.

The Motorola Moto G8 shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Moto G8 also has a much larger camera aperture to take better low-light captures and video and a back-facing camera with way more MP.

Motorola Moto G8 has a superior storage for applications and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 512 GB. The Moto G8 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 1860mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a better device, it costs more than Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G8. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Moto G8, letting go some features and specs.
