The Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is a lot better than the Motorola Moto G8's 74.4 general score. Both phones in this comparison review include Android OS, but the Xperia 1 III has a newer 11 version while Motorola Moto G8 has Android 10, so it gives a lot of extra features. Xperia 1 III is a newer phone, and it's also just a bit lighter and just a little thinner than Motorola Moto G8.

Xperia 1 III counts with a little bit better processing power than Moto G8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 1 III also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xperia 1 III counts with a much more vibrant screen than Motorola Moto G8, because it has a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840, a quite bigger screen and a lot higher pixel count per inch of display.

Sony Xperia 1 III features a lot bigger storage to store more games and applications than Motorola Moto G8, because it has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory. The Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit longer battery duration than Moto G8, because it has a 13% larger battery capacity.

The Sony Xperia 1 III takes better photos and videos than Moto G8, although it has a worse 3840x2160 video quality and a lot less MP resolution back camera, they both have the same aperture.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Moto G8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia 1 III, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto G8, resigning a couple specs and features.
