Comparison review

The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is better than the Moto G8's general score of 74.4. Despite being the best phone we are comparing, we must highlight that it is also older, noticeably heavier and way thicker. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Moto G8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a higher amount of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much more vibrant screen than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a lot better pixels quantity per inch in the screen. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit better camera than Moto G8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos and video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a back facing camera with a better 19 MP resolution.

The Motorola Moto G8 counts with a bit bigger memory to install applications and games than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Motorola Moto G8 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 512 GB. Moto G8 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh.

Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Moto G8. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save some dollars and get the Moto G8, giving up a couple specs and features.
