Huawei P40 is much better than the Moto G9 Play, getting an 86.4 score against 76.7. Huawei P40 is a just a little thinner and lighter phone than Moto G9 Play, even though both of them were released with only a few months difference. Both devices in this review have the same Android 10 operating system, so both of them should offer the same OS features.
The Huawei P40 has a bit superior processing unit than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P40 also has more RAM. Huawei P40 has a more vivid display than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a much better pixel count per inch of display.
The Moto G9 Play counts with a greater memory to install applications and games than Huawei P40, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Moto G9 Play has improved battery duration than Huawei P40, because it has a 32 percent bigger battery capacity.
Huawei P40 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low-light images and video, it also counts with a way better video definition, a back-facing camera with a higher resolution and a much larger sensor providing a way higher image quality.
