LG G8S ThinQ is just a bit better than the Moto G9 Play, getting an 82.5 score against 76.7. These phones have Android operating system, but the LG G8S ThinQ has 9.0 Pie version and Moto G9 Play has Android 10 version, giving a couple additional features. Even though LG G8S ThinQ is older than Moto G9 Play, it's construction is a little lighter and somewhat thinner.
LG G8S ThinQ has a better looking screen than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a much higher 1080 x 2248px resolution. The LG G8S ThinQ features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G9 Play, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory.
The LG G8S ThinQ features just a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G9 Play, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the LG G8S ThinQ also has a greater amount of RAM. The Moto G9 Play features a better camera than LG G8S ThinQ, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video quality, the Moto G9 Play also has a larger aperture to take better photos in poorly lited environments and a camera with way more mega pixels.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play has a very superior battery life than LG G8S ThinQ, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3550mAh.
