LG Q8 is just a bit better than Motorola Moto G9 Play, with a score of 77.2 against 76.7. These phones include Android operating system, but the LG Q8 has the newer 7.0 Nougat version and Motorola Moto G9 Play has Android 10 version. Despite of the fact that LG Q8 is notably older than Motorola Moto G9 Play, it's body is somewhat thinner and incredibly lighter.

Motorola Moto G9 Play captures much better photos and videos than LG Q8, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has faster video frame rates, a larger aperture to capture better photos and video in poorly lited environments, a much more megapixels back facing camera and a lot bigger sensor providing a way better image quality.
Motorola Moto G9 Play counts with a much longer battery performance than LG Q8, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
