The Moto G9 Play is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto G8 Power, with a 76.7 score against 76. Moto G9 Play's design is a little heavier but just a bit thinner than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and both were released only 4 months apart. Both of these phones have the same Android 10 OS, so both of them should provide the user the same OS features.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play and the Moto G8 Power feature similar processing units, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. Moto G8 Power counts with a more vivid display than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixels density and a lot better 1080 x 2300 resolution.
The Motorola Moto G8 Power counts with as much storage capacity to install applications and games as the Moto G9 Play one, both have a SD extension slot that supports up to 512 GB and the same 64 GB internal memory. Motorola Moto G8 Power and Moto G9 Play both count with incredibly similar batteries.
The Moto G9 Play has a better camera than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and although they both have the same aperture and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Moto G9 Play also has a way larger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality, a much more mega-pixels camera in the back and better 60 frames per second video frame rates.
