The Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is much better than Moto G9 Play's score of 76.7. Even though the Galaxy A42 and the Moto G9 Play were released only a few months apart, the Galaxy A42 is a little lighter and a bit thinner. These devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version while Moto G9 Play has Android 10 version, providing the user some extra features and performance tweaks.
The Galaxy A42 counts with a little better performance than Moto G9 Play. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM. Motorola Moto G9 Play and Samsung Galaxy A42 have very similar batteries performance. The Moto G9 Play counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same resolution camera in the back, the Moto G9 Play also has a larger aperture and higher 60 frames per second video frame rates.
