Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G9 Play, having an 82.6 score against 76.7. Although the Sony Xperia 1 is older than the Motorola Moto G9 Play, it's body is somewhat thinner and lighter. The Xperia 1 counts with a much better looking screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Xperia 1 also has a much greater pixels density and a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px.

Sony Xperia 1 features a little better processing power than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xperia 1 features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB, the Xperia 1 also has more internal memory.

The Motorola Moto G9 Play captures much better photographs and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for capturing images in low light situations, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also counts with a back camera with a much better resolution, higher video frame rate and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting way higher quality videos and photographs.

The Moto G9 Play counts with a very superior battery life than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 50% more battery capacity.
