Sony Xperia 1 II is better than the Moto G9 Play, having a 91 score against 76.7. Sony Xperia 1 II's design is just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner than Moto G9 Play, even when both were released with only a couple of months difference. Motorola Moto G9 Play features just a bit better camera than Xperia 1 II, and although they both have the same back-facing camera sensor size, a F1.7 camera aperture, the same (Full HD) video definition and the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has a back camera with a lot better 48 MP resolution.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play has improved battery life than Xperia 1 II, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
