Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than Moto G9 Play, with an 82.2 score against 76.7. The Xperia XZ2 Premium is a incredibly older, heavier and thicker phone than Moto G9 Play. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit superior processing unit than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a way better looking screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with way more pixels per inch in the display and a way higher 2160 x 3840 resolution. Motorola Moto G9 Play shoots slightly better videos and photos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a back-facing camera with a way better 48 mega-pixels resolution, a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light images and higher 60 fps video frame rates.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play has a little bit better storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB. Moto G9 Play counts with a much better battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
