Xiaomi 12 is just a bit better than the Moto G9 Play, with a general score of 78.8 against 76.7. Xiaomi 12 is a newer phone, and it is also somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than the Moto G9 Play. These phones come with Android OS, but Xiaomi 12 has a newer 12 version while Moto G9 Play has Android 10, so it provides lots of additional features and performance tweaks.
The Xiaomi 12 has a much more vibrant display than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way greater pixel number per inch of display and a much better 1080 x 2400px resolution. The Xiaomi 12 takes much better pictures and videos than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light photos, it also counts with a more megapixels back camera, a much better video quality and a bigger camera sensor providing a higher image quality.
The Motorola Moto G9 Play features just a little better battery lifetime than Xiaomi 12, because it has an 11% greater battery size.
