Galaxy Note8 is a little bit better than the Moto G9 Plus, getting a score of 83 against 80.5. The Galaxy Note8 is an older device than Moto G9 Plus, but it's somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter anyway. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Moto G9 Plus has Android 10 version.

Galaxy Note8 features just a bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto G9 Plus, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher screen pixel density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960. Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a little faster processor than Moto G9 Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has 2 GB more RAM.

Motorola Moto G9 Plus takes much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus also counts with a back camera with a much higher 64 mega pixels resolution and a much bigger camera sensor which provides a lot higher image and video quality.

The Moto G9 Plus has a superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy Note8, because it has a SD card slot that admits up to 512 GB and 64 GB more internal memory. Moto G9 Plus has a superior battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
