Xperia 1 is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G9 Plus, getting a overall score of 82.6 against 80.5. The Xperia 1 construction is noticeably lighter and thinner than Motorola Moto G9 Plus, even though it was released only 16 months before. The Xperia 1 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Moto G9 Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM.

Xperia 1 has a more vivid display than Moto G9 Plus, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way greater display pixels density and a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution. The Motorola Moto G9 Plus has a much longer battery duration than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 50% more battery capacity.
