The Sony Xperia 5 III has a global score of 90.5, which is much better than Motorola Moto G9 Plus's 80.5 overall score. Although Sony Xperia 5 III and the Motorola Moto G9 Plus were only released with a few months difference, Sony Xperia 5 III is somewhat thinner and way lighter. Both phones we are comparing here have Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 5 III has newer 11 version while Motorola Moto G9 Plus has Android 10 version.

Xperia 5 III has just a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G9 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 5 III also has a higher amount of RAM. The Xperia 5 III features just a bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto G9 Plus, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher amount of pixels in each inch of screen and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels.

Sony Xperia 5 III features a much better storage to install games and applications than Moto G9 Plus, because it has a SD extension slot that admits up to 1 TB and more internal storage capacity. Moto G9 Plus features just a bit better battery lifetime than Xperia 5 III, because it has an 11% more battery size.

Motorola Moto G9 Plus captures much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has lower video frame rate and a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same back camera sensor size, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus also counts with a lot more MP camera.
