Both phones in this review use the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any difference in that aspect. Even being the best cellphone we compare here, Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha's body is older, a little bit heavier and just a bit thicker than Moto G9 Plus.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha counts with a bit more powerful processor than Moto G9 Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha features just a bit better looking screen than Moto G9 Plus, because it has a little bit better pixel density, a bigger screen and a better resolution of 2088 x 2250px.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha has a much bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Moto G9 Plus, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 384 GB more internal memory. Moto G9 Plus captures much clearer videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for taking pictures in low light environments, a camera in the back with a much worse resolution, a worse 3840x2160 video definition and a lot smaller back-facing camera sensor providing a way lower image quality.
The Motorola Moto G9 Plus features longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4050mAh.
