The Xperia 1 is better than the Moto M, getting a general score of 82.6 against 71.6. The Xperia 1 construction is newer, but just a little thicker and just a little bit heavier than Moto M. The Sony Xperia 1 features a brighter screen than Moto M, because it has a lot higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution, a bigger display and much more pixels per screen inch.

Sony Xperia 1 has a much bigger memory for applications and games than Motorola Moto M, because it has 96 GB more internal memory and an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
