Huawei P40 Lite has an overall score of 79.5, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto X (2014)'s 73.4 global score. Huawei P40 Lite's design is way newer and thinner, but notably heavier than the Motorola Moto X (2014). Both of these devices work with Android OS, but Huawei P40 Lite has newer 10 version and Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, providing the user some nice extra features.
Moto X (2014) has a bit better hardware performance than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has less RAM and less processing cores , it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Motorola Moto X (2014) has a better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch.
Huawei P40 Lite takes much clearer videos and photos than Motorola Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a larger aperture to capture better photography in low-light situations, a back-facing camera with way more megapixels and a much bigger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Huawei P40 Lite counts with a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 128 GB internal memory. Huawei P40 Lite has a superior battery lifetime than Moto X (2014), because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity against 2300mAh.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing, Huawei P40 Lite is also cheap compared to the Moto X (2014).
