The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is slightly better than the Moto X (2014), getting a general score of 79 against 73.4. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has the newer 11 version and Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0 version, giving you some nice extra features and some performance improvements.
