The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is slightly better than the Moto X (2014), having a 79 score against 73.4. Both phones in this comparison review have Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has the newer 11 version while Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0 version. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S body is notably newer and thinner than the Moto X (2014)'s, although it's also noticeably heavier.

The Motorola Moto X (2014) has a sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a way smaller display and a little lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen.
