Asus ROG Phone has an overall score of 77.1, which is a little bit better than the Moto X (2014)'s 73.4 global score. The Asus ROG Phone construction is much newer and somewhat thinner than the Moto X (2014)'s, although it is notably heavier. Asus ROG Phone features a bit more powerful processing unit than Moto X (2014), because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and more RAM.
Motorola Moto X (2014) has a little sharper screen than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a little bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch. Asus ROG Phone counts with a much better memory for games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has 512 GB internal memory capacity.
Asus ROG Phone has a much longer battery life than Moto X (2014), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2300mAh. Moto X (2014) features a much better camera than Asus ROG Phone, although it has lower video frame rate, a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting photos and videos in low light situations and a tinier sensor offering a lower image quality, they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto X (2014), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto X (2014). So if you need that extra features, you can buy Asus ROG Phone, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Moto X (2014), resigning some features and specifications.
