The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a score of 78.7, which is a little bit better than Motorola Moto X (2014)'s global score of 73.4. Even though Huawei Mate 9 Pro is somewhat heavier than Motorola Moto X (2014), it's incredibly thinner and also much newer. These phones have Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, giving a couple nice extra features.

Moto X (2014) counts with a little bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a bit smaller display, a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a just a little lower screen pixels density. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Moto X (2014), because it has more internal memory.

Huawei Mate 9 Pro's CPU is very similar to Motorola Moto X (2014)'s processor, because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a much longer battery lifetime than Moto X (2014), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.

The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with just a bit better camera than Moto X (2014), because although it has a lower video quality and a worse resolution back-facing camera, and they both have a F2.2 aperture, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also counts with a larger back camera sensor.

Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto X (2014), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Moto X (2014). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Motorola Moto X (2014), giving up a couple specs and features.
