The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a score of 78.7, which is a little bit better than Motorola Moto X (2014)'s global score of 73.4. Even though Huawei Mate 9 Pro is somewhat heavier than Motorola Moto X (2014), it's incredibly thinner and also much newer. These phones have Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, giving a couple nice extra features.

The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with just a bit better camera than Moto X (2014), because although it has a lower video quality and a worse resolution back-facing camera, and they both have a F2.2 aperture, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also counts with a larger back camera sensor.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto X (2014), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Moto X (2014). So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Motorola Moto X (2014), giving up a couple specs and features.
