LG G5 is a little bit better than Moto X (2014), having a 76.1 score against 73.4. These devices have Android OS (Operating System), but the LG G5 has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, giving a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. LG G5's design is newer and noticeably thinner than Moto X (2014)'s, but it is just a little bit heavier.

Motorola Moto X (2014) features a bit more vivid screen than LG G5, although it has a quite smaller screen, a bit worse amount of pixels per display inch and a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080. The Moto X (2014) features just a bit better performance than LG G5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Moto X (2014) also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.

The LG G5 counts with a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than Moto X (2014), and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the LG G5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG G5 features better battery lifetime than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 2800mAh of battery capacity.

The LG G5 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the LG G5 also has a larger camera aperture to take better low light images and video, a better resolution back camera and a bigger back camera sensor.

Although LG G5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto X (2014), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto X (2014). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the LG G5, otherwise you can save some money and get the Moto X (2014), resigning a couple specs and features.
